Ecommerce Portal for a Retail industry

The solution:

Our team is involved in enhancing the existing portal and also adding new functionality to the existing one through our offshore programming services delivery model.

The portal is an Online Store for a retail shop. This B2C application is built using Microsoft Commerce Server 2002 (MSCS). The portal allows the users of the website to order item across the globe. The website also has 3 different currency catalogs (Great Britain Pound, Euros and US Dollars). The payment mode is through the Credit card and implemented 128Bit encryption to make the transaction secure. We use DATACASH for online processing and fraud screening of Credit Cards and Debit Cards. The products are updated on a regular basis including addition of new categories using Business Desk.

We have also built a Content Management System (CMS) for the portal. This CMS allows the users to Add, Edit and Delete new pages to the portal.

We have established a Virtual Private network ( VPN ) connecting to the web server in UK using Microsoft Terminal Services.

We have also setup a data warehouse for the portal, to generate quick analysis and reports.
